All Broward County Florida Boat Ramps CLOSED due to coronavirus concerns

March 25th, 2020
Broward County Mayor closes all boat ramps in the county due to cononavirus concerns. Due to the images of people still partying on boats, rafting up to other boats, anchoring close to one another, and gathering on sand bars, the mayor decided to take steps in eliminating those types of actions. Starting with closing all boat ramps in Broward County.

Still no word from the Broward County mayor on closing all marinas and fueling docks as well. Miami Dade county mayor and Palm Beach County mayor has closed all boat ramps, fuel docks, and marinas.

A message from FWC – Florida Fish and Wildlife on finding open boat ramps

Currently, many of the boat ramps throughout the state remain open to the public and users are urged to engage in social distancing. Our “Florida Public Boat Ramp Finder” page is updated every 24-hours to include information regarding boat ramp open/closed status. It’s important to check with local, county, and statewide Emergency Orders before you leave on a trip. It’s also a good idea to check with the managing entity of the boat ramp if it’s not run by the FWC.

Find information specific to your county under the special comments section of each ramp, and if the comment box is blank, it means the ramp is currently open: https://public.myfwc.com/LE/boatramp/public/CountyMap.aspx?fbclid=IwAR3rs3M0SctDqDR7GtQpWgjYkeICgcf1Z0L6i2h7x74OSWc3TCkURb4-LIQ

Please use the guidelines outlined by DOH and the CDC regarding social distancing. https://floridahealthcovid19.gov/
