Just as so many places were hit by Hurricane Dorian so was the town of New Plymouth on Green Turtle Cay located in the Abaco Island Chain of the Bahamas.

Hurricane Dorian hit the northern Bahamas with Category 5 storm force winds.  The eye of the storm had sustained winds of 185 mph with wind gusts over 220 mph.  This extreme wind also created massive storm surge that reached over 20 ft high in some areas of the Bahamas.  Both the wind and storm surge combined to wreak utter destruction though out the Abaco Islands and Northern Bahamas.
